Dissident in the Garden of Love ©2013 Credence Found ASCAP I went to the Garden of Love, And saw what I never had seen; A solemn broken tree in the midst, Where there used to be green. I saw the garden was filled with graves, and tombs where flowers should be; (chorus) And I was won over to you, Everything - you said was true! And I was won over to you... The priest in black gowns were walking their rounds, They bound me with briars and thorns, and gave me a bleeding crown! (bridge) The gates of the Chapel were shut, And they said "Thou shalt not" So I returned… to the Garden of Love! (solo) So I returned to the Garden of Love! So I returned to the Garden of Love! So I returned to the Garden of Love! So I returned to the Garden of Love!

Silver Starlight ©2013 Credence Found There's something missing, You've not got it here, Sound of her crying, the sound in your ear. You are reminded, In old photogrphs, When you do it for money, Then you leave with the cash, So read the words, See the worlds, You don't have it here, You don't have it here, If you offer me the world, I'm not here for this world…. You can keep the world--- and all that's in it. There's nothing missing, I have you all here, There's a sound of thunder, It resounds in your ears. You are reminded, In old photogrphs, When you do it for money, Then you leave with the cash, So read the words, See the worlds, You don't have it here, You don't have it here, If you offer me the world, I'm not here for this world…. You can keep the world--- and all that's in it.

Why do the heathen rage? ©2013 ASCAP Credence Found Why do the heathens rage, and the people imagine such a selfish thing? The kings of the earth set themselves up, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, "Let us break their shackles, and cast away their chains from us." (lead) He who sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them, as an object of ridicule. Then shall he speak unto them, in his wrath, and terrify them, in his massive irritation. Yet I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. (Beautiful Zion!) I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, You are my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give you the nations for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the world, for your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Be wise now therefore, O you kings and CEOs: be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish from the way, Oh, when his wrath is kindled but a tiny bit. Joyful are all of them that put their trust in him. ...that put their trust in him. I put my trust in you!

about

No Illusions I
Credence Found has really matured between their first EP In Absentia and their first full length Release No Illusions I.

There are many songs that evoke the great things of the past but are not nostalgic but fresh and exciting to hear from a band that is not hindered by being on a label but is truly able to express their vision as they see fit.

Dissident in the Garden of Love is a fantastic opener. The punk rock/hard rock Revolt or Revolution shows they can kick it into high gear. Winter Chill is an amazingly accessible pop like acoustic tune. And these are just the first FIFTH of the Album which has FIFTEEN songs.

Selective Amnesia is about a broken relationship. Fresh Strings is about starting things over again with a lover. Crooked Steps is a hard rocker with a catchy chorus and a favorite live set song.

The Alabaster Chamber is based on a Emily Dickinson poem. Dark Sunday Afternoon is a catchy tune that evokes early nineties bands like Nirvana. 1000 Years is a Black Sabbath/Soundgarden type song.

Silver Starlight is a song that evokes Pink Floyd and Radiohead about temptation and decadence. Tell Me is an energetic rocker about belief. Night Falls is about danger and epic songwriting.

The Rising Tide is about uncontrollable emotions and situations you have in life. Where Are you? is a song that asks the listener. Why do the heathen rage? answers some questions about the power struggles we see in our culture and around the world.
